Beta Eta Preservation Fund

Beta Shines in 2029 – 150 Years at UMaine

For generations, the Beta House has been our safe haven — our “room” on campus. A place where we bonded as brothers, shared the best of times, and built memories that shaped our lives.

Now, our 122‑year‑old home needs our help. Through a $750,000 fundraising campaign, we aim to preserve the legacy of Beta Eta Chapter and prepare the House for our 150th anniversary in 2029.

Our Mission

Your donations help support:

  • Urgently needed capital improvements to the House
  • Beta community philanthropy and support
  • Scholarships and educational opportunities for active members

Why Repairing the House Matters

  • The House is 122+ years old and needs major updates
  • UMaine granted us a 30‑year lease extension to 2054
  • Current conditions make it difficult to attract actives to live in the House
  • Professional engineering and construction assessments were completed in 2022–2023
