A Home Worth Fighting For
The Beta Eta chapter house at UMaine Orono has been the heartbeat of our brotherhood for decades — a place where friendships were forged, leaders were built, and memories were made that last a lifetime.
Why Repairing the House Matters
- Fixing the House has been a Housing Corporation priority for several years
- Our 122+ year old home is tired and needs significant work
- The University granted us a 30-year lease extension to 2054 — a vote of confidence in Beta Eta
- Beta is well-liked by UMaine and we're on campus, but the House needs TLC
- Convincing actives to live in the House is a challenge due to current conditions
- We're generally cheaper than dorms and apartments — but not as attractive yet
